Year 1

Welcome to our Aston family.  We are all looking forward to a fun Autumn term and year.

Take a look at our weekly time table below to see what we will be learning this term.  As you can see we will now be having PE on Tuesday's and Friday's so please come to school in your PE kits on these days.  Home learning will be set on Friday's and available for you to view on this webpage, however, there will also be a paper copy sent home.  Please add images of your child's home learning to Class Dojo, we love seeing what you do. Any problems please let one of  the adults know or on our Class Dojo.

We are looking forward to watching you blossom and grow.

God Bless

Our new virtues for this half term are Eloquent and Truthful. We were thinking and talking about how important these virtues are yesterday during our Peace assembly.

The Butterfly Song (If I Were A Butterfly) | CJ and Friends | Dance-Along with Lyrics

Our RE unit is Creation. This song reminds us of the wonderful world that God created. Get dancing and singing.

Our new history and geography topic is all about Toys from the Victorian Era. This week we were looking at toys from the past, we played with a pop gun and a cup and ball.

VALUES & VIRTUES- Jesuit Pupil Profile

Please see the links below for extra information about the Values and Virtues that we focus on each half-term.

Each half term we focus on a different scripture reading.  This reading will then be looked at in detail and we learn more about what it means, why it is important and how we can relate it to our lives.
