Life at St. Benedict's - A Snapshot of our school
At St. Benedict’s, every day is full of energy, opportunity, and unforgettable moments. From the moment our students walk through the gates, they are part of a vibrant and caring school community where learning goes far beyond the classroom.
We’re proud to share a glimpse into life at St. Benedict’s through a gallery of photos that capture the incredible range of experiences our students enjoy throughout the year – across every year group and in every corner of school life.
Whether it’s hands-on science experiments, energetic PE lessons, creative art projects, or peaceful moments of reflection in prayer and worship, these photos tell the story of a school where every child is known, nurtured, and encouraged to shine.
Our students get involved in:
🎭 Performing arts and school productions
⚽ Sports teams, tournaments and after-school clubs
🧪 STEM challenges and enrichment activities
🎨 Creative arts, design, and music
🌍 Faith-filled experiences, retreats and charity work
📚 Reading, writing, and celebrating academic achievement
👥 Student leadership, mentoring, and buddy systems
🥐 Community events like Mother's Day Breakfast and the MAC Foodbank
We believe in developing the whole child – academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. And as these photos show, there’s never a dull moment at St. Benedict’s!
Whether students are taking part in themed dress-up days, engaging in acts of service, exploring new topics, or simply enjoying a moment with friends, every experience helps shape them into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals.
Take a look through our photo gallery and see what makes St. Benedict’s such a special place to grow, learn and belong.

St. Benedict’s Support for the MAC Foodbank
At St. Benedict’s, we believe in living out our values through action, compassion, and community spirit. This term, our school community has come together to support the Holy Spirit MAC Foodbank, a vital initiative providing weekly support to vulnerable families across our schools and local parish.
Each Thursday, families are able to collect essential items to help them through challenging times – and thanks to the generosity of our students, staff, and parents, we’ve been able to play a significant role in making this happen.
Every week, students and staff from all year groups have been helping with the foodbank with regular contributions and support in organising, packing, and promoting the collections.
What’s been especially powerful is the sense of unity that’s come from this project. Students understand that small acts – like adding a tin to the family shop or giving up a treat to help someone else – can make a real impact in someone’s life. Our school community has shown what can be achieved when we work together with love and purpose.
We’re incredibly proud to be part of a MAC that prioritises care for others, and we know that our contributions are helping to bring relief, comfort, and dignity to families in both our school and parish community.
Thank you to everyone who has donated – your kindness is making a real difference.
If you would like to continue supporting the foodbank, donations can be brought into school at any time. Families in need of support can text 07741 280959 on a Monday to arrange a collection for the following Thursday.
Together, we are living our faith through service.
Mother's Day Breakfast 2025
On Friday, 28th March, St. Benedict’s was filled with love, laughter, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee as we welcomed families into school for our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast. It was a heartwarming morning dedicated to celebrating the amazing women in our students’ lives – mums, grandmas, aunties, carers, and all those who play a special role in supporting our young people.
From 8:00am, our school hall was buzzing as students proudly showed their guests to their tables, ready to share a delicious breakfast together. There were plenty of smiles, hugs, and even a few happy tears as our community came together to recognise the love, care, and encouragement these incredible women provide every day.
Our catering team did a fantastic job serving up a beautiful breakfast spread, including fresh pastries, toast, fruit, yoghurts, and a selection of hot drinks and juices. The atmosphere was warm and joyful, with music playing softly in the background and students beaming with pride.
Take a look at some of the lovely moments we captured throughout the morning in the photo gallery below. We are so grateful to all the families who joined us and made this a truly special event.
To all the mums and mother figures in our community – thank you. You are appreciated more than words can say.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at St. Benedict’s.
