Our School Mission
In Love We Learn. In Faith We Grow
The children learn in an atmosphere of love and they learn how to show and share their love. They also learn how to be resilient and self confident which enables them to love themselves as valuable members of the church and the wider world.
Our children are on a journey of faith. A journey which will enable them to develop their spiritual faith as well as a deep faith in themselves and their own unique abilities.
At St. Benedict's we aim to provide a Christian environment where God and the Gospel values are at the centre of all we do. Within this environment; understanding, respect and tolerance for all faiths and denominations is nurtured. It is our mission to encourage and provide opportunities for our children to develop their full potential spiritually, academically, socially and morally. To prepare our children to be good citizens and productive members of society.
As a Catholic school we aim to provide:
1. A warm, caring atmosphere that develops mutual respect and promotes responsibility, respect and tolerance of all cultures and faiths.
2. A supportive and caring partnership between home, school, parish and community - for the mutual benefit of all its members
3. A broad, balanced, stimulating and relevant curriculum that prepares our children for their future roles in the wider society and provides equal opportunities for all.
4. An open, welcoming school where the quality of work, the relationships, achievements and all our God given talents and differences are highly valued and celebrated.
It is our intention that these aims are reflected by the thoughts, words and deeds everybody connected with the school, as well as being reflected in our Policy Statements and School Development Plan
Dear Lord, thank you for our sense of faith,
Your presence here will keep us safe.
Thank you Lord, for bringing us here,
We know with you we shall not fear.
Help us to discover our purpose, our way,
Show us where we belong this day.
Help us to open our hearts to you,
Guide us in all we say and do.
Send your peace into this place,
Let family and friends receive your grace.
Send your love, your hope, your light,
That we will always know what’s right.
Your presence here will keep us safe,
Thank you Lord for our sense of faith.
