THE ECO-TEAM 2011 are Jacob and Zoe and Ellie and Nathan
Walk to school week 17th - 21st October 2011
Before Christmas 2010, St benedicts Primary School underwent a Green Flag renewal inspection, where an inspector came to see if we were still worthy to obtain the Green Flag.
That morning the inspector came and the Eco Team sat down and talked to her.
After that we showed her around the school grounds, highlighting all of our Eco friendly features e.g. The bottle green house; The vegetable garden.
This happens every two years, and we (the Eco Team) spend all the time in between preparing for this, and making our school a better place. Due to all our hard work, we are able to keep the Green Flag for another two years.
The Eco Team would like to say a special Thank You to: Mrs Furlong Smith; Mrs Chiverton; Mr Smith (our parent helper) and all that have helped to make this year a successful one.

Our Save Water campaign is going well. The KS2 poster competition was won by Rachel in Y3 and the KS1 Name the Squirrel competition was won by Lily in Y2. Our Eco Mascot is now called HAZEL. Congratulations to both.
We had a successful Walk To School Week culminating in a coffee morning at The Plough. We would like to thanks the owners of The Plough for providing tea, coffee and biscuits free of charge. Many Thanks.
The children in classes 4 and 5 have been busy working with the Landscape Gardener Natasha Moore on designs for the school grounds, following our acquisition of a rant from Awards For All. They are busy feeding back to the rest of the school with their ideas so EVERYBODY can be involved. Watch this space!!!!!
We would like to remind you to use the three R's Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Help save our planet.
